Punt Road
Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Blackcurrant, tobacco and cedar. Long and lingering finish with notes of spice and coffee. The 2019 Yarra Valley harvest was warm with small crops, one of the best in recent history. This was crafted from fruit from Block 3 from Napoleone Vineyard, complemented with a little Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, with 30% new oak and 70% second and third-use oak.

“red and black fruits, some tobacco and spice, crisp acidity, light nutty oak, fresh too, with light grainy tannin, and plenty of length on a spicy red fruit finish. It has a little bottle age on its side, and gee, it’s a lovely thing to drink. Excellent. ”
