Pinot Gris 2025

Jasmine, nashi pear and red apple. Generous, aromatic and refreshingly bright. The 2025 growing season was the warmest and driest the Yarra Valley has seen in years. After four consecutive wet seasons, full dams allowed the vines to thrive under careful irrigation. Low disease pressure and an early harvest produced fruit of exceptional quality and richness, resulting in wines with power, precision and length.

Harvested from three blocks of D1V7 Pinot Gris on our Napoleone Vineyard, the fruit was picked slightly early to preserve natural acidity and vibrancy. Pressed hard to capture late-press texture, the wine was fermented partly in tank for freshness and partly in old oak puncheons for depth. Lees stirring built weight and complexity before an early bottling to retain its lively character — a generous, textural expression of our Coldstream vineyard.
