Gamay Grenache 2025

$24

Raspberry, boysenberry and subtle spice. Fresh, soft and juicy with bright acidity and gentle tannins. We made the Gamay and Grenache as separate wines before blending. The Grenache was destemmed to preserve its juicy red fruit and spice, while the Gamay was fermented with a mix of whole bunches and whole berries for aromatic lift and texture. Seasoned oak kept the wine fresh and fruit-focused.

The warm, dry 2025 season brought earlier ripening and generous fruit, giving the wine plenty of flavour while retaining the freshness that suits this lighter style.

Food match: Grilled lamb chops with herb salsa and lemon.

Description / Technical notes

  • Vineyard Blocks: field blend from across the estate
  • Wholebunch: 100%
  • Maturation: seasoned French puncheons

“This red wine has some energy. I guess you’d call it red cherried but there are blueberry, bubble gum, musk and fragrant garden herb notes at play too. It’s fun, it’s light-ish, it’s well-made and it’s just the ticket for casual drinking.”
